Serving in the Community and around the World

Serving: Allowing Jesus to train our hearts and to use our God given talents to reach out to the poor and broken of our world. At Redeemer, we encourage every person to grow in Jesus Christ through serving others in our local community and in our world.

beacon-houseBeacon House

Beacon House is a men's shelter in Frederick, MD. Redeemer provides food and serves the noontime meal on the second Saturday of each month. In addition to serving 20-30 Beacon House residents, we also serve an average of 125 homeless adults and families who rely on Beacon House for food, fellowship and care.

How you can help:

Provide food - Recipes are listed on the Outreach Bulletin Board. Food is to be delivered to Redeemer by 10:15am on the serving day.

Serve - Adults and children 12 and older are needed to heat and serve the meal. The team gathers at Redeemer at 10:15am for prayer, travels to Beacon House serves the meal. Typically we finish by 1:30 pm.

This is a great place to serve for a family or perhaps a Bible Study group looking to put their faith in action.

"A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will be refreshed himself." Proverbs 11:25
