
In May of 2009, Immanuel’s Church (IC) met with The People’s Community Baptist Church (PCBC) to discuss ways in which the two churches could collaborate. Out of the many discussions, both recognized that unemployment amongst church members and the community was at an all time high and discussed ways in which they could assist. A partnership between IC and PCBC was formed at that meeting, and the two agreed to develop an initiative to address this issue by providing career training and other resources to those seeking employment.
The People-4-People of Immanuel’s Church took the initiative to develop an employment assistance program at its location. The program assists individuals with identifying career opportunities and provides professional development training and technical and consultancy support in the search for employment or entrepreneurial pursuits.
The People-4-People (P-4-P) Employment Assistance Program is a partnership among six churches:
Sunday Worship
8:00 & 11:00 am: A blended family service with contemporary Christian music - Family Life Center
8:00 am: A quieter, contemplative worship environment - Chapel
Bible Study Schedules
9:40 – 10:35 am: Sunday School for all ages
